Gladys Taylor Wint

Gladys Taylor Wint, 86, died peacefully at home on Thursday, August 5, 2021. Gladys was the daughter of Ruby Brown Taylor and Charles Arthur Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy Wint, Jr., son, Aubrey Lee Wint; and siblings, Jewel Miller, Ralph Taylor, and Dorothy Coker. She is survived by one brother, A.C. Taylor of Jackson, Alabama.

Gladys was a loving and compassionate mother to Sherron Wint Chavers of Mobile; Aubrey Lee Wint (deceased), Timothy Darrell Wint of Tennessee, and Traci Wint Jordan of Florida. She was a gracious mother-in-law to Floyd Arthur Chavers, Susan Bentley Wint, and George Jordan. Gladys was a proud grandmother to Stacey Chavers Beesley, Brandi Chavers Jones (Todd), Josh Chavers (Brittany), Zachary Trehern (Dannielle), and Rebekah Wint Felix (Jose), Haleigh Trehern Powell (Curtis), Jacob Wint (Valerie), and Kinsley Wint; and great-grandmother to Uriah Chavers, Braxton Baker, Isabella and Brock Jones, Colton Beesley, Rayce, Brantlee, and Casen Powell, Peyton and Taytum Trehern, and Eli and Elenora Felix.

Gladys always tried to please God. She loved to go to church. She always put others ahead of herself. I Corinthians 13: 4 -7 describes her character. She enjoyed being with her family, and she will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 9700 Celeste Rd. Saraland, Alabama. The family will be accepting friends beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Chavers, Braxton Baker, Brock Jones, Zachary Trehern, Todd Tabor, and Mac McInnis.
