Gloria Nell Thompson

Gloria Nell Thompson – a native of Hattiesburg, MS and a resident of Satsuma, AL died Friday, July 23, 2021 at her residence. Nell was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pascagoula, MS but attended 19th Avenue Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS and a retired bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her parents, James D. and Glynice Holcomb. She is survived by her daughter, Heather (Mike) Hagensee; her grandchildren, Courtney (Colton) Spakes, Chelsea Grisham, Lauren Hagensee, and Hannah Hagensee; two great-grandchildren, Tinley and Emalynn; her twin brother, Glyndale “Gene” (Sandra) Holcomb; her uncle, Kenneth (Janie) Daughtrey; many cousins and friends. Nell’s family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to her caregivers, Deeann White, Edith Butler, Susie Shotts, Sadie Reed, and June Steel for their loving care. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg, MS with Pastor Monty Bound of 19th Avenue Baptist Church officiating.
