Jesse Larry Holcomb

Jesse Larry Holcomb joined the Lord in Heaven on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at the age of 76. Jesse was born in Brilliant, Marion County, Alabama. He was a graduate of Vigor High School. After working for Delchamps Grocery during high school, Jesse went on to work for International Paper for 35 years. He was a long-time resident of Chickasaw, AL, and later in life a resident of Saraland, AL. Jesse loved the Lord and was a devoted member of West Lee Street Baptist Church and then First Baptist Church of Chickasaw. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching Alabama football. Above all, Jesse was a loving husband, father, and Pawpaw. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Patsy Holcomb, as well as his parents Elmer (Shorty) Loper and Ernestine Doss Loper. Those left to remember his life include his two children, Stephanie Bridges McKeever (Scott) and Keith Holcomb, two sisters, Fay Curry (Rodney) and Ann Loper (Gary Evans), three grandchildren, Mollie Miller, Kali Hamel (Michael), and Jesse Holcomb (Joshlynn), as well as two great-grandsons, Elijah Holcomb and James Hamel, along with nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Saraland, AL. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
