Joe Mack Reed

Joe Mack Reed, age 68, a resident of Turnerville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at his home. He was born in Texas on August 18, 1952. Joe was a graduate of Citronelle High School and retired as an iron worker, Local 798 after many years of dedicated service.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Dempsey and Lucille Reed; brother, James Everette; sisters, Judy Jackson and Brenda Highsmith; uncles, Marvin Bodiford and Earl Bodiford; and cousins, Pete Bohannon and Roger Bohannon. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Rose Reed; children, Jody Reed of Citronelle, AL; Adam (Tess) Reed of Saraland, AL; Tyler Reed of Turnerville, AL; and Katelynn (Nico) Vasquez of Turnerville, AL; grandchildren, Kealan Reed, Ryder Vasquez, Jolie Reed, Aden Reed, and Kowin Reed; siblings, Cecil (Hilda) Everette, Woodrow Smith, and Linda Farrior; the Bohannon Family and Bodiford Family, as well as many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 9700 Celeste Rd. Saraland, Alabama. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pastor Mark Hobbs will be officiating.
