Kenneth Rodney Bennett

Kenneth Rodney Bennett, long-time resident of Satsuma and Saraland, Alabama passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Springhill Medical Center. Born September 27, 1942 in Millry, Alabama, he was eighty-three years of age.In his early years, he owned Bennett Builders and constructed many of the metal buildings in the area. Later, he worked as a millwright and a hot shot driver. He also served in the US Army as a mechanic.He is survived by his children Dana Bennett (Wes) Lambert, Kenneth Scott (Crystal) Bennett, Brenda (Bill) Philyaw; grandchildren Ashton Lambert (Carson) Davis, Wells Lambert, Quinten Scott Bennett, Parisa Philyaw (Jeremy) Lewis, William (Patty) Philyaw; great grandchildren Liam and Leighton Philyaw; brothers Olney W. (Barbara) Bennett, Keith (Ann) Bennett; nieces and nephews Brenda Phillips, Royce Broadhead, Cindy Bennett, Jeff Bennett, Lloyd Bennett, John Bennett.He is preceded in death by his father Ollie W. Bennett, mother Virgie Todd Bennett; sisters Sylvia Gene Bennett, Dorothy Bennett Waldrop; brother Bobby Broadhead.Kenneth will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
