Laverne Baker Moak

Laverne Baker Moak, a native of Meridian, MS and a resident of Prichard, AL and Saraland, AL for 57 years, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Moak was a member of Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Moak; one son, Scott Moak; her parents, Roy Ivan and Allie Lee Brown Baker; and one sister, Doris Tisdale. Survivors include: four children, Rob (Terrie) Moak, Ken Moak, Brian (Stephanie) Moak, and Julie (Ken) Sanderson; two sisters, Mabry Castle and Ruth Bailey; one brother, Roy "Sonny" (Jean) Baker; five grandchildren, Chris, Lucas, Dillon, Logan, and Amber; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 P.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the parlor at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Saturday at 2 P.M. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
