Linda Poole James, a homemaker and resident of Turnerville, AL, born January 4, 1949 in Millry, AL, passed away at a local hospital Sunday, February 24, 2019. Ms. James was preceded in death by her son, Cecil James; parents, Joe D. and Kathleen Poole; sisters, Susan Cooke and Pattie Harbour; brother, Bobby Joe Poole. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Deborah (Tim) Melton, Leslie (Kevin) Maloy, Frank (Tracy) James, Cody (Katie) James; sisters, Francine Lanier and Sandra Woods; grandchildren, Timothy Melton Jr., Leslie Medley, Louis Yeager, Katie Chestang, Erin Havard, Cameron Eggers, Dustin Eggers, Faith James, Cole James, Alex James, Kaleb James, and Carson James; many other relatives and friends. Linda loved to trace her family’s native american heritage, crocheting, and Auburn football. Visitation will be held 10 AM Wednesday, February 27, 2019 with funeral services at 12 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 9700 Celeste Rd. Saraland, AL 36571. Interment will be immediately to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
