Mike Alvin Lingerfelt, resident of Chunchula, Alabama passed from this life into eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 18, 2026. Born November 3, 1948 in Crestview, Florida, he was seventy-seven years of age.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife for over fifty-five years Celeste Sykes Lingerfelt, with whom he is now joyously reunited with in Heaven; his parents Paul Allen Lingerfelt and Flossie Nell (Edge) Lingerfelt; brother Andrew Lingerfelt.
He is survived by his children Paul Ray (Tina) Lingerfelt, Melissa (Thomas) Herring, James (Nia) Lingerfelt; sister Janice (Bobby) Womack; brother David (Reci) Lingerfelt; grandchildren Justin (Haley) Herring, Jarred Herring, Daniel Lingerfelt, Tyler Lingerfelt, Connor Lingerfelt, Samantha Lingerfelt, Hannah Lingerfelt, Isabella Lingerfelt; great grandchildren Brysen Herring and Leighton Monroe Herring.
Mike relocated with his family to the North Mobile County area as a young teenager and graduated from Satsuma High in 1967. A devoted, hardworking man, he served as a boilermaker with local 112 for many years, before joining International Paper with whom he stayed for over twenty years before returning to the boilermakers, from which he retired. He is affectionately remembered as a true provider, a charitable man who took care of his family. In his younger years he raced a 1969 Charger and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his family and he loved the Lord. He will be missed by all those blessed to have known him.
