Robert Ellis Dean

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 22 years, retiring as a Senior Chief. Following his military service, he continued his life of dedication and hard work with a 20-year career at the United States Postal Service. His strength, loyalty, and sense of duty were hallmarks of both his service to his country and his community.

He was the devoted husband of Hylda Faye Dean and the loving father of Angela Faye Minturn, Cynthia Tarver, and Brittney Dean Ott. His role as “Grandpa” was one he treasured deeply, and he leaves behind seven grandchildren who adored him: Joshua Ellis Darichuk, Lauren Faye Darichuk, Mitchell Dean Nelson, Sarah Jones, Allison Faye Mahlke, Noah Bianchini, and Benjamin Ellis Ott. That love continues on through his seven great-grandchildren, Rylee, Beaux, Trevor, Aurora Faye, Harvey Jones, Calliope Jones, and Liesl Ellis, who will always carry his memory in their hearts.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Hylda, his infant brother Lynn W. Dean, his sister Karen Campbell, and his great-granddaughter Luna Mahlke.

To his family, Robert was more than a veteran and provider—he was their steady rock, their storyteller, their quiet protector, and their source of unconditional love. His legacy of service and devotion will remain a guiding light for all who knew and loved him.
