

Robert E. Lee Little, Jr., age 92, a resident of Eight Mile, Alabama, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 at his home. He was born in Lauderdale County, Mississippi on September 6, 1929. Mr. Little attended Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church in Saraland. He loved working in the yard and garden. He enjoyed bird watching, fishing, cutting the grass, and watching “Tom & Gerry” cartoons and wrestling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, including his precious cats, Dixie, Bobbie, and Hailey.
Mr. Little is preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Lee Little and Vera (Williams) Little; his wife and love of his life, Patsy Barefield Little; children, Teresa Kyser and Dale Little; grandchild, Lance Dees; brother, William Little; and sister, Vera Little Dean. He is survived by his children: Elizabeth Ann Little, Mike (Robert) Little, and Jimmy (Stephanie) Little; grandchildren: De Ann Alford, Leslie (Jonathan) Green, Tammy (Rocky) Lewis, Shane (Amanda) Kyser, Mikey Little and Mallary Little; great grandchildren: Nick (Emily) Russell, Tony (Kennedy) Green, Karleigh (Nick Williams) Taylor, Breonna Green, Lance Dees, Jr., Hailey (Zach Cochran) Green, Cade Andrews, Kylie Lewis, Slade Lewis, Adeline Little, and Brantley Little; son in law, Richard Kyser; as well as many other family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kindred Hospice, Newman’s Ambulance, doctors and nurses, and his granddaughters, De Ann Alford and Leslie Green, as well as her husband Jonathan, who took such loving care of their dad and papa in his final days.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 from the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 9700 Celeste Rd. Saraland, Alabama at 12:00 PM. The family will be accepting friends one hour prior to service time. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pastor Gary Shockley will be officiating. Serving as active pallbearers will be Jonathan Green, Nick Russell, Tony Green, Lance Dees, Jr., Richard Kyser, and Shane Kyser; honorary pallbearers are Darrell Hobden, David Dean, and Robert Casey.
