Robin Gail Buchanan Thompson

Robin Gail Thompson, born in Birmingham, AL, was received by the Lord June 7, 2025. Robin was welcomed in Heaven by her husband, Donald Wayne Thompson and her daughter, Randi Michelle Ellison. She is survived by her siblings Lisa Thompson (Greg), Alan Buchanan (Lisa), Bobby Buchanan; her children Brandy Wiggins (Travis), Rita Clark, Anna Thompson; her grandchildren Alexandria Sutherland (Jacob), Christopher Thompson, Jonathan Thompson, Hunter Howard (Sabrina), Hannah Sutherland, Haven Howard, Ethan Turnage; her great grandchildren Bethany Thompson, JJ Thompson, Evangeline Howard, Grayson Reed; and her lifelong friends Sandy Brown and Lesley Turnage.Robin had an incredible gift for doing just about anything. There was no task too big or too small for her to take on. Her hands were capable, her heart was willing, and her determination knew no bounds. She was a friend to all, ready to lend a helping hand with grace and love. Robin devoted her life to Christ, consistently sharing his love and light with those around her. Her greatest joy in life was knowing she passed on the love of Christ to her children and grandchildren, who follow her footsteps in walking with Christ. Her legacy and love of God live on through them. While her friends and family will miss her comforting hugs and helpful advice, they can find peace knowing that she is still watching out from them like she always did, but now from Heaven while making Wayne his coffee.Robin’s celebration of life will take place at on June 11, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation for family will begin at 10:00am and will be open to everyone at 10:15. A service led by Mrs. Ellen will begin at 11:30. Following the service, Mrs. Ellen will lead a graveside prayer at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Refreshments will be served at Saraland Assembly of God immediately after.
