

She was born in Charleston, West Virginia and became an extraordinary resident of Satsuma, Alabama. She first graduated from Vigor High School in 1953 before receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from William and Mary College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Montevallo. She worked as an occupational therapist in Gadsden, Alabama and then became a teacher, librarian and principal at Satsuma Christian School. She also served as Satsuma Library Assistant, starting an after-school tutoring program for students. She helped preserve the legacy of Satsuma and shared a wealth of knowledge with others by serving as the library’s Historian, as well as helping the city with other countless events and occasions. She said “Yes!” to the Lord and gave Glory to God by serving her vocation.
Rose Mary was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Satsuma, a member of the Satsuma Christian School Board, a Sunday School Teacher and worked with the youth program. She enjoyed croqueting, crossword puzzles, and reading her Bible. She never missed an episode of Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and William Miller Sr., brother William “Sonny” Miller Jr., and ex-husband Elath “Doc” Fuller.
Rose Mary is survived by her children Mike (Deanna) Szymanski of Saraland, Christine (Mark) Sealy of Fairhope, Stephen (Michelle) Fuller of Satsuma; grandchildren Alex (Ashley) Sealy, Riley Sealy, Fisher Fuller, Britain Fuller, Brody Fuller, Lauren (Jason) Walley, Heather (Matt) Huff, Kayla (Dan) Bardales and Dylan (Anna) Szymanski; seven great grandchildren; her brother John Hunter (Sandra) Miller.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Saraland, Alabama. The family will receive visitors at 10:00AM. Service begins at 11:00AM. Interment will immediately follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
