Sandra Kay Burch Taylor

Sandra graduated from the nursing program at the University of Mobile and worked as a cardiac nurse at Springhill Memorial Hospital. She loved the Lord, her family, and the Alabama Crimson Tide. She enjoyed vacationing with her sisters, taking trips with her church group, and sharing in the joy and laughter that always encompassed family gatherings. Among her many attributes, she was best known for her ability to love unconditionally. Sandra had a special interest in flowering plants and so enjoyed sharing that passion with her family. Her smile and the sound of her laughter will be missed most of all.

Sandra was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jeffrey Taylor; her father and mother, Fred Burch III and Barbara Stewart Burch; and by her grandmothers, Ella Mae Phillips and Katherine Brown.

She is survived by her beloved “boys," Brian Taylor and Jared Taylor (Stephanie); her nine siblings, Susan Pollock, Eugenia (Jeannie) Crabtree, Fred Burch IV, Richard Burch (Kathy), Lydia Maples, Lorri Burch-Hubbard (Bill), Mark Burch (Lori), Paul Burch (Sarah) and Chris Burch (Misty). She is also survived by her loving aunt, Carol Johnson, who stepped into the role of “mom” to the Burch kids over 40 years ago, Carol’s daughter, Candi Johnson Allen, who became more of a sister to her, and all of her many nieces and nephews that she loved to spoil.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Forest Hill Church of God located at 5508 Moffett Road, Mobile, AL 36618. Visitation with the family will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please feel free to join the family in wearing the University of Alabama attire and/or colors. Should friends desire, flowers and memorial contributions are welcome and may be delivered to Forest Hill Church of God prior to the service.
