Thomas Berry Kirksey, Sr.

Thomas Berry Kirksey, Sr., age 79, a resident of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 in Bay Minette, Alabama. He was born in Dooling, Georgia on August 27, 1941. Mr. Kirksey retired from SSA Marine after 20 plus years of dedicated service. He was a collector of model John Deere tractors and was an avid hunter and NASCAR fan.

Mr. Kirksey is preceded in death by his parents, William F. Kirksey, Sr. and Genell Baggett Kirksey; and a brother, William F. Kirksey, Jr. He is survived by his children: Thomas B. Kirksey, Jr. {Maria} of Eagle River, Alaska; William J. Kirksey {Leslis} of George Town, Cayman Island; and Sara McKinley {Dale} of Bay Minette, Alabama; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry Kirksey, as well as other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ochsner Cancer Institute (OCI) at www.ochsner.org. A memorial service will be held from the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 9700 Celeste Rd. Saraland, Alabama on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11:30 AM. The family will be accepting friends beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
