William Vann Dyess Brewer

William Vann Dyess Brewer “Big Will” of Satsuma, AL, passed away May 1, 2020. He was born April 25, 1985 in Mobile, AL. Will was the son of Cheryl Sue Brewer Powell of Satsuma and the late Whit Vann Dyess Brewer. Will was a graduate of Satsuma High School in 2004. After a life altering back injury, he became disabled after requiring two back surgeries. He also attended Faulkner Jr. College. He loved Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves. He Played baseball from ages 4 – 15 years old. He also played football at Satsuma High School. Will is survived by his devoted and loving mother Cheryl Sue Powell Brewer Powell and step-father Derrel Powell; sister Jessica K. Brewer and two nephews Noah and Tristen of Saraland. He was predeceased by father Whit Vann Dyess Brewer; grandparents Ledger and Marjorie Powell of Greenwood, AL, Williams Walthal (Whit) and Sarah Dyess Brewer of Mobile, AL.

Graveside services will be at Liberty Baptist Church, Old Hwy 5, Thomasville, AL, April 24, 2021 at 2:00pm. Officiating will be Reverand Dennis Dunn and Dr. Jamie Harvell of Bayou Sara Baptist Church, Saraland, AL.

Celebration of Life will be held at Wright Park, Satsuma, AL May 1, 2021 at 2:00pm. Announcement by Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 9700 Celeste Road, Saraland, Alabama 36571.
