William Edward Cunningham

William Edward Cunningham, affectionately known as "Catfish Willie", age 84, and a resident of Satsuma, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at his home. He was born on July 4, 1936 to Walter and Ada Bell Cunningham in Coffeeville, Alabama.

He served proudly in the U.S. Army, and was a member of Bayou Sara Baptist Church. Mr. Cunningham is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ada Bell Cunningham; son William A. Cunningham; and 7 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Dianne Cunningham; son, Scott Edward (Jennifer) Cunningham; daughter, Kimberly Diane (Marcus) Parker; grandchildren, Caitlin Cunningham, Lauren Perry, Jessica Dearing, Megan Waycaster, and Clayton Parker; and great-grandson, Isaiah Waycaster.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 28, 2020 at 10:00 AM from Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Saraland, Alabama.
