Barbara Ann Frazier was born Barbara Ann Morton, daughter of Coleman and Sallie Burus Morton in Bowen, KY. She was the youngest of five children. She had three brothers; Paul Morton (deceased), Phillip Morton (deceased), and Arnold Morton of Clay City, Ky. She had one sister Marie McCoy (deceased).
Barbara is survived by her husband, Tommy Joe Frazier, of Sarasota, FL, four children, Tommy Joe Frazier, Jr. of Manassas, VA, Eric Duane Frazier of St. Petersburg, FL, Michael Alan Frazier of Cincinnati, OH and Melissa Ann Mocherman of Sarasota FL; seven grandchildren, Sarah Elisabeth Frazier of Myrtle Beach, SC, Thomas Andrew Frazier of Myrtle Beach, SC, Abigail Corrine Frazier of Manassas, VA, Joseph Martin Frazier of Manassas VA and Luke Coleman Mocherman, Zachary Herchel Mocherman and Aubrey Ann Mocherman of Sarasota and 5 great grandchildren, Delaney Baker, Alex Long, Remington Lee Netherland, Jacob Sandow-Frazier, Madilyn Frazier and Ava Dacheux, and her brother, Arnold Morton
Barbara lived in Germany for three years with Tommy, who was in the Air Force. They then lived in Trenton, Ohio for twenty-two years where Barbara was an active member of Trenton Church of Christ. In 1988 she moved to Florida with husband Tommy and daughter Melissa. Since moving to Sarasota, she has been a very active member of Sarasota Christian Church.
Barbara enjoyed reading and playing card games. She was known to always have a smile on her face and brought joy to those around her. She is dearly loved by family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Sarasota Christian Church, 2923 Ashton Rd, Sarasota. Burial at Sarasota National Cemetery will be private.
