Barbara Ann Ungaro

Barbara (Bennett) Ungaro, age 92, passed away in Sarasota, FL on March 5, 2024, with her loving family surrounding her. She was born in Berlin NH to Clara and Ernest Bennett. Leaving Berlin, Barbara graduated from the Ringling School of Nursing in Massachusetts where she met and married the love of her life Carmen.

She is survived by daughter, Claire Carswell and her husband, Mark; and two grandchildren, Mark II (wife Michaela), great-granddaughter Carmen, and Nicole, (Husband Nik), and great-grandson, Forrest. She is also survived by her son, Nick Ungaro (wife Mila), grandchildren, Anthony (wife Jaclyn) and Leilani (husband Joel) and great-grandson, Leo; and by two sisters, Joan Gingras (husband Gus) of Derry NH and Sheila McGuire of Worcester, MA.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Carmen Ungaro, and sons, Ralph Ungaro and Gaetano (Guy) Ungaro, and by four sisters and three brothers.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Celebration of Life Center, 7454 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231. The funeral will follow at 12:30 PM at the funeral home. The committal service will be at 2:00 PM at Venice Memorial Gardens, 1950 Center Rd, Venice, FL 34292.
