Brian Patrick Freeman, age 61, of Sarasota, FL passed away in his sleep March 28, 2016. He formerly lived in Chicago, IL and the Chicago suburbs. He was a former EPA federal chemist, volunteered as an auxiliary police officer, and a business owner. He recently retired to Florida where he volunteered at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Brian was always a big supporter of dog rescue groups and adopted many throughout his life. He truly valued his lifelong friendships. He is survived by his wife Audrey, his stepson Justin, his brothers Jim and Mike, and nieces and nephews. Services to be held in Chicagoland at a later date. Memorials can be sent to Marie Selby Botanical Gardens or Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc.
