David was born in Massachusetts on May 6, 1938. He married Marilyn (Meyer) Barry on March 26, 1987. David (“Mr. Barry”) worked at Sarasota County Technical Institute as an Automotive Technology Instructor. For many years he piloted small passenger airplanes, and his interest in aviation lasted throughout his life. He had a passion for flying and building radio-controlled airplanes and was an active member of the Sarasota R/C Squadron until his death.
A committal service with military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery, located at 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL, 34241, on November 25, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.
