Francesco Giannini

Francesco Passed away on Oct. 1, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer. Francesco Giannini is a native of Siderno Marina, Calabria, Italy, and lived in South Africa and moved to Sarasota where he lived out his life. Francesco was trained as a master tailor and owned his own business. He has lived in Gulf Gate, Sarasota, and has been a pillar of that community, being known and loved by all. He is a Master Mason of the 33rd degree. He was preceded in death by his parents Agazio and Maria Giannini, his brother Giuseppe Giannini and his sister Teresa Giannini. Francesco is survived by his wife, Anna Giannini of 49 years; his daughter, Maria Giannini-Simon and her husband Ronald Simon; his daughter, Elena Giannini and her ex-husband Brandon Hoffman; his daughter, Giovanna Giannini-Teresi and her husband Antonino Teresi. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Marcella Teresi, Massimo Teresi, Sophia Hoffman, Matteo Hoffman, Anna Simon, Giulia Simon, Francesca Hoffman, a brother Antonio Giannini and a sister Lina Giannini. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 6th from 7 to 9 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 7th at 10 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
