Gary Robert Petersen, 75 of Sarasota, FL, died on Nov. 10, 2014. Services will be held at 11 am on Friday Nov. 21, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sarasota, FL. Gary is survived by his wife Mary Jo; sons Michael Petersen of Sarasota, FL, Matthew (Jayne) Petersen of Cedarburg, WI; daughters Debbie (Pepper) Dietz of Sarasota, FL, Kathy Petersen Hettich of Savannah, GA and 6 grandchildren. Gary’s career started in manufacturing with GTE Lenkurt in California, Albuquerque, and El Paso. He came to Florida in 1984 with Loral until 1992 then worked in Real Estate. Gary participated with various organizations with his children including Soccer. He participated in several groups at St. Patricks.
