James (Jimi) Hubscher, age 57, passed away on February 1, 2017 in Sarasota, FL. He was born on December 28, 1959 in the District of Columbia, the youngest son of Richard Max Hubscher and Shirley Ann Hubscher nee Colin. Jimi was a loving son, brother, nephew, Uncle, Godfather and friend to all who were lucky enough to know him. His fun loving spirit and humor brought joy to all those he spent time with. Jimi resided in Calvert County, MD, where he owned a home, but spent much of his time in Sarasota, FL to be with his father, sister, nieces, grandniece and grandnephews. While in Maryland Jimi, or Lou Lou as he was known, was a valuable and experienced first mate to numerous Charter boat Captains in Solomons Island. In his early years Jimi lived in Prince George’s County, MD where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout and graduated from Suitland Senior High School. His mechanical aptitude was a gift that helped him earn his Stationary Engineers license through the United States Post Office. He worked for Pepco, the National Archives, and Marriott as Chief Engineer. Later, Jimi moved to the Tampa/ St. Petersburg area in Florida and became a successful entrepreneur with numerous store locations in Florida. Jimi was an avid fisherman and all around Outdoorsman but his true love was hunting. He was a good, caring, sharing man who always made everyone laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family and left his nieces and nephews wanting more “Uncle Jimi time.” He was loyal, dependable and always willing to lend a hand. Jimi will be sorely missed and we will cherish his memory in our hearts forever. Jimi is survived by his father, Richard; his sister, Virginia Ann Edwards (Clarence); his nieces Francesca M. Fago (Daniel), Jacqueline M. Edwards; grandniece Bliss H. Fago; his grandnephews John C. Hubscher, Dylan T. McCarthy, Franco A. Fago, Connor M. McCarthy, Vincent M. Fago, Logan K.
