James M. Muir, Jr., 84, of Sarasota, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, died July 15, 2015 at his home under the care of Tidewell Hospice.
Jim was born in Allentown, PA to the late James M. and Grace (Michael) Muir, Sr.
Jim was a Korean War Navy Veteran. He was a graduate of Temple University, Philadelphia, and the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Finance. Jim retired as Vice-President of Materials Administration with the Milton Bradley Corp. in East Longmeadow, MA.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Eneu) Muir; two sons, James and Gregory; a daughter, Maryanne Volkringer; two brothers, David and Donald and three grandchildren, Gregory, Matthew and Michelle.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home with inurnment with military honors at Sarasota National Cemetery following.
