John W Barends, 86, of Sarasota, Florida passed away on June 2, 2018. he was born on April 20, 1932 in Pare Pare, Indonesia to the late Willem and Nella (Zurcher) Barends.
John owned a picture framing business, was a member of the Florida Artist Group and active in a local Dutch heritage club.
John is survived by his longtime companion, Julee Docking; a sister, Barbara Kerkhoven; Julee's children, Marsha French and Robert Docking, and several nieces and nephews.
