John was born on December 25, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York to Ida and John Orban Sr. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary in 1989. He moved to Sarasota in 1995 and became a successful business owner for the next 23 years until he retired in 2021.
His passions were his family, friends, riding his motorcycle, the truck of his dreams that was a retirement gift to himself, and just enjoying life and his family. He was known for his stubbornness, doing things his own way, and his stories from the past. Most importantly, he was known for his unselfish loving and giving spirit to those closest to him.
John would not want anyone to be disheartened on this day, but instead remember all the good times you shared with him. Those memories should be everlasting, not fleeting; joyous, not anguished; shared with everyone, not kept to yourselves. Don’t let the legacy of a great man be buried with his physical self.
John was preceded in death by his father John Orban Sr. He is survived by his mother Ida Orban, his sister Claire Orban, his sons John Orban and Krisztian Kecskes, his daughters-in-law Allison Orban and Yaneli Kecskes, and his grandsons Emmitt and Cameron Orban.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Sarasota Memorial Park, 5833 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231.
