

Kathy grew up in the San Marco area of Jacksonville. She graduated in 1962 from Landon High School where she was on the tennis team and was the editor of the high school newspaper. She graduated in 1966 from Florida State University where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She married Kimball Bobbitt in 1966 in Jacksonville. That marriage lasted 55 years until Kimball’s death in 2021.
Kathy was predeceased by her husband, Kimball and her brother George Holt. She is survived by her brothers Albert of Homosassa, FL, Charles of Middleburg, FL, and Hugh of McKinleyville, CA as well as her sons Russell (Nancy) of Sarasota, and Jeffrey (Ana) of Middleburg, FL. She is also survived by her grandsons Nathan, Nicholas (Taylor) and William of Sarasota and her granddaughter Samantha of Tallahassee, FL.
Kathy had a lot of interests and was always busy. She played tennis and golf, and she loved to garden and earned a Master Gardner designation. She also enjoyed lunches and playing bridge at the Field Club with friends. Kathy owned and operated Ribbons Gift Boutique in Siesta Village and Southside Village for over 12 years. Kathy also loved animals, especially her Shizu puppies, Tori, Penny, and Sparkle. She was a member of Church of the Palms and enjoyed Sunday worship services.
The family would like to thank The Tides at Bay Village for the care and comfort that they provided. There will be a burial service in Jacksonville for family. Donations to Church of the Palms in lieu of flowers are appreciated.
