

Loraine Doris Aumick (Lorie), a long time Washington resident, went on to be with the Lord on October 14th in Sarasota Fl. Born at home in Patterson NJ in 1925; weighing a mere 3 lbs, Lorie went on to live a long full life. She was daughter to Lydia and Jacob Dietiker and married to lifelong mate, LCDR. William A. Aumick, who passed away in 2000. Lorie excelled in her role as steadfast homemaker, volunteer and military wife. She is survived by her daughters: Jeanne Aumick, Debra Jones, son-in-law Samuel Jones and her dearest grandsons, Ian Jones and Sean Jones and his wife Sara Jones. She also leaves behind granddog Max. Out of four beautiful sisters; Jean Meyers and Alberta Faulkner predeceased her. Janice Jenkins survives her along with brother-in-law Charles (Chic) Jenkins and brother-in-law, Walter Meyers. Also many nieces and nephews survive her as well as many relatives on the Aumick side of the family. Many lifelong friends came from Highland Covenant Church, the Great Northerner's group, and the Food Bank. Lorie is remembered for her gracious and loving spirit; "Mom” to many. Lorie loved the Lord, and shared her deep faith enthusiastically and most importantly by example. Folks marveled at her youthful looks and spirit even at almost 92. Lorie is well loved by family and friends and will be missed.
Memorial Service to be held at Highland Covenant Church 15022 Bel-Red Rd, Bellevue, WA 98007 on Nov 12 at 2 PM. Dignity Memorial Weigand Brothers Funeral Home in Sarasota FL. is preparing Lorie for her journey with her family to be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent WA along with her beloved husband Bill.
