

Peggy and Ed owned Hancock Paint Company a 4th generation manufacturing plant. Her expertise was vision and design.
She co-managed the development of 12 retail stores and gave decorating presentations to Women’s Groups for Hancock and Kent’s Carpetland.
Her passion was painting in all mediums, showing her paintings and pastel portraits at the Duxbury Art Association and in Sarasota FL. Her exceptional stained glass window was published in “How to work in Stained Glass”. There was nothing creative that she couldn’t do!
Her homes were designed and decorated by her and gardens were exquisite. When living in Milton MA. she belonged to to the Milton Garden Club, Ponkapoag Pony Club, Kiwanis Club and Quincy Neighborhood Club and was past worthy advisor of Rainbow for Girls. At the Pilgrim Church of Duxbury, she donated their Baptismal Font. As members of the Duxbury Yacht Club their lives were full of boating, golfing, tennis and social activities.
While in Osprey she volunteered at the Casey Key Library, belonged to Mission Valley Golf and Country Club and hosted various artists from around the country.
Peggy is survived by her children, Lorrie McKenna of Stuart FL. and Sheree and Arthur Sibley of Old Lyme CT. and her Grandchildren, Landon McKenna, Amanda Sibley White (Clai), Alexis Sibley Sakmar (Welles), Dustin Sibley and Great Grandchildren: Ella McKenna, Lillie and Henry White.
Peggy was predeceased by her son Don, and Lorrie’s husband Bill.
Special people in her heart were nephew Dr. Keith Johnson and Betsy Whelan Hike of Falmouth and Milton MA. We would like to thank all her wonderful caregivers and especially Betty Lindo.
Peggy who was accomplished in so many ways and was respected and loved by all of us.
Graveside services will be held Monday, April 13, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241.
