Mary A Caro

Mary A. Caro (nee Marinello), age 85, of Siesta Key, Sarasota, Florida passed away on June 15th, 2024 and is now at peace in the embrace of our Lord and those of her loving family and friends who preceded her. She is survived by Raymond, her husband of 60 years, her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Mark Mulone, her beloved grandsons Christopher Mulone, Nicholas Mulone and wife Jenna, loving sister Francine Thissen, and devoted, furry, canine granddaughter, Ava.

Mary was born in Paterson, New Jersey and grew up in Fair Lawn, New Jersey where she met Raymond in high school, got reacquainted several years later at the “Jersey Shore” and later married in 1963. Over the years she had been an employee of Eastman Kodak, a travel agent, and a foliage placement consultant for corporate offices. Before moving to Florida she and her family resided in Glen Rock, Wyckoff and Bay Head, New Jersey where she was a devoted flower gardener. Upon moving to Florida, she sustained her love affair with flowers and orchids by volunteering at Selby Gardens for 20 years. Those who knew her will remember her as a warm, affectionate, generous, wise and fun friend who loved to laugh, dance and fish, and who was completely devoted to her family.

A mass will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel church, 5394 Midnight Pass Road, Siesta Key, Florida at 11:00am on September 14, 2024 followed by a celebration of life luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
