She worked at Nielsen Media Research in Nokomis, FL for many years. Mary loved to garden and to stroll along the beaches of Siesta Key and all around Florida always looking for the perfect shell.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Agatha and Alfred Breitenstein and her husband Donald E. Schmeling.
Survivors include her son Donald W. Schmeling and his wife Judy of Tampa, FL; daughter Barbara L. Myers and her husband Danny of Crested Butte, CO; grandchildren Derek Schmeling, Lucas Schmeling, Michael Schmeling, Ryan Myers and Chris Myers; siblings Audrey Warren of Bradenton, FL and Patricia Sandburg and husband Wayne of Chicago, IL.
A memorial mass will be at 2:00 P.M. On Oct. 31, 2015 at Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home, 7454 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL.
