

Born in Waterbury, CT on January 26, 1942 to the late Michael and Mary (Pagliuca) Gaudino. Married to Carol Berube on August 3, 1963 and soon settled in Woodbury, CT. Bob grew up in the Town Plot section of Waterbury and graduated from Leavenworth High School. Bob was the ultimate car guy, purchasing many memorable cars, but his beloved 1937 Packard will be his legacy. Bob loved cars from a young age and turned that love into a career, selling cars at WES Cadillac Oldsmobile and soon becoming General Manager. Bob worked at WES and Countryside Volkswagen Lincoln Mercury for 26 years before moving to other dealerships around Connecticut. Bob was always interested in sales and moved into home renovations and sales in Connecticut and Florida. Through his retirement, Bob and his devoted wife Carol renovated many homes together in Camelot East of Sarasota, Florida, updating and beautifying their home community. Bob enjoyed the beach community and purchased his first rental property at Grove Beach Point in Westbrook, CT. This home would eventually, be his beach house where countless family memories were created.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Mike and Mary (Pagliuca) Gaudino. Bob will be greatly missed by his loving wife Carol and four children Michele Freyermuth and her husband Paul of Scottsdale, AZ, Robert of Fairfield, CT, Suzanne Dunn and her husband Michael of Waterbury, CT and Michael and his wife Lisa Fontan of Watertown, CT. Bob will also be greatly missed by his six grandchildren, Alexandra, Katherine, Trent, Rylie, Miguel and Lola. Bob will also be missed by his two sisters, Francis Dumaine and her husband Roland and Elizabeth Falcone and her husband Anthony as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-law relatives. Bob leaves his special puppy, Daisy and is welcomed into heaven by his beloved sidekick of fourteen years Jerry.
A wake will be held at Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home in Sarasota, FL on Friday, January 19th from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick’s Church in Sarasota, FL on Saturday, January 20th at 9am. A Memorial Service will be held in Connecticut at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to: The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, CT, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, all of which were special to Bob and the family. The family gives a special thank you to the staff at Doctor’s Hospital of Sarasota.
