Robert was born in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin to George and Clara (Brandenburg) Hurst on July 21, 1938.
He attended West Allis Central High School in West Allis, Wisconsin. Robert had a career as a draftsman designer for Allis Chalmers/Siemens. He married Darlene Mary Sabourin in 1961.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, George and Clara Hurst; his wife, Darlene Mary Hurst; his son, Robert Joseph Hurst; his brothers, George and Ronald Hurst, and sister Donna DeHusson.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Pauline Marie Burton and Carla Mary Russell; his grandchildren, Kendra Jahnke, Cassendra Kirkhom, Danielle Gonzalez, and Samantha Gambino; his great-grandchildren, Isabella Smith, Jackson Kirkhom, and Grayson Gonzalez, many nephews and nieces; and his beloved pet, Sabrina.
