Robert "Bob" G. Piercy Jr.

Born December 20, 1950, in Jacksonville, Florida to Robert G. Piercy and Marie Hancock Piercy, Bob lived most of his life in Winter Park, Florida but recently moved to Port Orange, Florida to be closer to the beach.

Bob shared nearly 49 years of his life with his beloved wife, Tina. They were married on November 17, 1979, sharing nearly 47 years of marriage.

Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. He spent much of his career in the automotive industry, primarily working with Ford dealerships. He was a Precinct Committeeman for the Republican Executive Committee and a Sergeant at Arms of the Republican Club of Southeast Volusia County. He was also a member of Oceanway Church in New Smyrna Beach, where he enjoyed volunteering preparing and serving meals to the community.

Bob loved fishing, boating, camping, playing pool, woodworking, music and just about anything that allowed him to be outdoors, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, where they would always be at the center of his life. He and Tina also enjoyed traveling with friends, including memorable trips to Hawaii, Canada and Alaska.

Those who knew Bob will remember his caring nature, his love for his family and his unmistakable sense of humor. Ask him a question expecting a simple "yes," and chances were his answer would instead be "yump" - a little Bob-ism that always brought a smile and will continue to do so for years to come.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Tina; his three sons, Keith Howe (Jennifer) and their children, Carson and Kennedy; Eric Howe (Rowena) and their children, Elijah and Sydney; and Robert “Robby” Piercy, III (Sierra) and their son, Grayson. He is also survived by his brother, Oliver Piercy (Paula); his sister, Wanda Piercy Clementz (John); extended family; and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert G. Piercy and Marie Hancock Piercy, his sister, Patsy Detweiler, and his nephew, Matthew Piercy.

To his friends, he was Bob. To his boys, he was Dad. To his grandchildren, he was Papa. And to Tina, he was her sweetie, her love and her best friend. She will forever be grateful for the love he gave her, the family they built, the adventures they shared and the life they created together.

A Military Honors Ceremony is planned at The Shores Resort in Daytona Beach Shores for Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. outside on the Ocean Terrace, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 in the Atlantic Ballroom overlooking the ocean.
