Stephen James Brumby, age 14, died tragically Sunday July 3rd, 2016. He was an athletic, funny, precious, magical, bold, musical, brilliant, passionate, godly, wonderful, loving, hard-working, creative, strong, beautiful boy. Our hearts ache at this tragic loss. Everybody who knew him was touched by his heart to serve, his joy-filled spirit, the energy and the passion he brought into everything he did, and the fact that he never met a stranger in his life. He loved tennis, piano, ukulele, drums, guitar, archery, fishing, and many other hobbies. He was creative and inventive. He loved children. Stephen participated in the children’s ministry at Remnant Church and loved playing on the worship team. Though this is a tragic loss, we know that Stephen is safe in the loving arms of our Savior Jesus Christ. “We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13 He is survived by his loving parents, Clayton and Elizabeth, his six siblings, David, Wayne (brother-in-law) and Alexis Alder, Samuel, Christen, Thomas, and Jordan Brumby. Also his half siblings, Meghan Horner and Seth Brumby and his grandparents, Tony and Anne Swain. His memorial service will be held at Bayside Community Church at 1:00 pm Saturday July 9th. Bayside Community Church is located at 8200 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34241. Memorial Donations can be made to HopeKids: 1215 Manatee Ave West, Bradenton, FL 34205.
