Allan Al Ralph Paquin

July 18, 1953 – April 2, 2013

Al lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by the love of his life wife Denise, their son Justin (Kelsey), sister Alice Grimsen (Andrew), special “sis” Adeline Harrison, parents-in law Patrice and Mary Gaudreau, brothers-in-law Paul Gaudreau (Shelley), Donald Gaudreau, Kevin Gaudreau (Marion), sisters-in-law Jo-Ann Gaudreau (John), Darlene Gaudreau (Taras), as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Al was predeceased by his parents Mary and Ralph Paquin.

Al was born and raised in The Pas, Manitoba. In the late 70’s, Al moved to Saskatoon where he worked various jobs including owning and operating tow trucks. In 1985 Al began employment with KWH Pipe. He was a dedicated employee, taking pride in his work. He developed many friendships with co-workers and the truck drivers he met along the way.

Al was a family man and a big kid at heart. He loved every moment of being a Dad – from building skating rinks in the backyard to crab-apple wars in the fall. Al devoted a substantial part of his leisure time to the game of hockey. He loved to play, watch, and most of all coach. He cared so much for the kids he coached over the years - including those with the Royals Junior B Hockey Team.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to our friends and extended family for their strength and support, as well as a special thank you to Donna (RN), Norma (OT), and the entire Palliative Home Care Team for their immense compassion and support throughout this difficult time. A Memorial Service for Al will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon, 306-955-1600). A family committal service will follow.
