Obituary of Anne Ledray
IN THE CARE OF

Mourning Glory Funeral Services

Anne Ledray, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on December 08, 1930, in Donwell, Saskatchewan, Anne was the daughter of Daniel and Alexandra Rosnowski. She grew up in a loving home that instilled in her a deep sense of family, heritage, and pride in her Ukrainian roots.

Anne's educational journey began at Donwell Elementary School, followed by Yorkton Collegiate. She pursued her passion for learning further by attending Secretarial School in Yorkton and later trained in Accounting for Federated Co-op, laying the foundation for a successful career. Anne began her professional life as a secretary in Canora from 1948 to 1950 and then in Yorkton until 1952. Her dedication and skill led her to become an Accounting Clerk at Federated Coop in Saskatoon, where she worked from 1952 to 1962. After a brief hiatus, she returned to the workforce at Deloitte and Touche in 1977 and, later, as a bookkeeper at Elmwood Lodge, where she made significant contributions until her retirement in 1991.

On May 16, 1959, Anne married her beloved husband Neil Ledray at the Canora United Church, marking the beginning of a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. Together, they created a warm and inviting home for their family, where Anne's passion for entertaining and cooking shone brightly. Her family was her pride and joy, and she devoted herself to nurturing and guiding her children and grandchildren, instilling in them the values of kindness, resilience, and cultural pride.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Alexandra Roznowski; Sister Pauline (Roznowski) Serienko, Brother-in-law Micheal Serienko, Brother John Roznowsky, Sister-in-law Sylvia Roznowsky as well as her in-laws Dennis Ledray, Ronald Ledray and June (Ledray) Doering, Brother-in-law Duane Doering.

She is survived by her loving husband Neil, and their children: Lynda Ledray; Glenn and Risa Ledray (Matthew and Alexandra Ledray with their son Sebastian; Nicole and Drew Tofin with their children Eli and Rory); Marie and Harry Turtle (Joel and Faryal Turtle; Cameron and Sarah Turtle); Sandy and Tracey Forbister ((Meagan Forbister & Nyck Rusnak and daughter Brynnlee Rusnak); Kyle Forbister; Tyson Forbister; and Jason Forbister); Wayne (Wendy) Roznowsky; Kim Thompson; Ronald (Kim) Doering; Trish (Shawn) Van Damme as well as several great nieces and nephews. Anne's legacy continues through her family, who will forever cherish her memory.

A proud member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and after marriage, the United Church, Anne was deeply committed to her faith and community. Her involvement in various organizations and clubs, such as the Kaiser Club, Trailer Club, and Birthday Club, reflected her vibrant spirit and love for life. An avid bowler and dancer, she enjoyed round dancing and pattern dancing, often bringing the family together for joyful celebrations.

Anne's characteristics were as remarkable as her achievements. She was family oriented, always dressed to impress, and took pride in her appearance. Her zest for life and deep appreciation for her heritage were evident in every aspect of her being, and she passed down these values to her children and grandchildren.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to all who have traveled from the United Kingdom, various locations across Canada and the United States to honor Anne's life and legacy.

In this time of mourning, we celebrate Anne's remarkable life and the indelible mark she has left on all who knew her. She will be missed dearly but will forever remain in our hearts.
