

In loving memory of Barry Rea, we sadly announce his passing on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the age of 87 years. Barry was born 1935 in Edmonton, AB. He grew up and went to school in Elstow, Sk. Barry then continued to farm in the Elstow area and worked at the Allan Potash mine at the same time. In 1966 Barry married Clara Welter and together they raised three children, Sandra, Darrell (Kimberly), Shelley (Roddy), Barry was also a self-taught mechanic and carpenter. He could fix or build anything that was required.
When Barry did take time out to have some fun he enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, baseball, pool, throwing darts and spending time outside.
In 1997 Barry married Marguarite Golding, moved to Saskatoon and we became a blended family with children Joanne (Don), Earl (Marion), Marilyn (Brad), Bill (Charmaine), Jim (Shiela), Jack (Ronda) and Jeff (Aida).
Grandchildren are Tiffany, Courtney, Brandt, Twyla (Chris), Chad (Tricia), Travis, Jamie (Dan), Jacqueline (Christoph), Jillian (Dana), Leah (Rashod), Michael, Mark, Tyler (Jenna), Chelsea (Kelly), Matthew, Scott (Kayla), Hayley (Jimmy), Luke (Dee), Jocelyn (Jonathan), Drew (Kelsey), Quinn, Daniel (Hanna), Alexandra and Dylan.
Great Grandchildren are Cooper, Grayson, Emmanuella, Soleil, Allegra, Zachary, Conner, Maggie, Gabriel, Indiana, Brighton, Capri, Jonah, Matti, Wrenn, Onyx, Brielle, Ava, Whitney, Emmy, Saniel, Koa, Sophia, Gia, Maddox, Levi, Julie, Lewis, Vance, Hatti, Arlo and Theo.
Barry was a loving devoted husband, caring and compassionate to all his family and friends. He had a helping hand attitude, a comforting presence and a quiet disposition which left a mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Barry was predeceased by his father W. Rea, his mother M. Rea, brother-in law B. Coolidge, brother D. Rea, and son-in-law R. (Fritz) Stroh.
We will forever miss your happy smile and your love of family, nature and the farm. The Celebration of Barry’s Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor Street, Saskatoon).
