February 26, 1957 - March 23, 2017
With sadness and grief we are informing all of the passing of our mother, wife and best friend Boksil Cho to cancer. She fought so very hard every day to be with us these past two years and now she is finally at peace. She is survived by her husband Hyun Joon Cho. Her daughters Ellie, Sarah and Bora Cho. Her brothers Chanhyeong, Chanwon and Changun Jung. Her sisters Boksim and Haeyoung Jung, as well as their respective families including many nieces and nephews. Her adoptive son Kurt and his mother Anita Trapler, as well as many friends in the community. Boksil worked hard in South Korea as business owner, saving hard to send her eldest daughters to Canada, and to help pave the way for her husband and youngest daughter to join them. Since arriving in Canada in 1999, Boksil ran and operated a small business in Hague, SK, and for two years prior to her cancer diagnosis she worked as a Baker's Assistant at Safeway. Boksil lead a full life enjoying many activities including gardening, swimming, and traveling. It was through many of these activities that she met and made friends everywhere she went. Fast to smile and quick to laugh Boksil brought joy and light to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed but it is with happiness that we wish to remember her as she touched so many lives for the better. Her family wants to thank all persons who supported her through her battle with cancer, including the Nurses of the Saskatoon Cancer Centre, the staff and Nurses of Oncology 6100, her physicians, Dr. Ahmed, Dr. Nazir, and Dr. Kennedy; and her care aides Michelle and Shelly. As well they would like to thank any and all persons who had the compassion and caring to make her final months in hospital tolerable. A remembrance of her life will take place Wednesday March 29th at 4:00 p.m. at Holy Family Cathedral (123 Nelson Rd. Saskatoon, SK). If you knew her and would like to join, the service will be held in the Queen of Peace Chapel to the right of the main entrance. Arrangements in care of Mourning Glory Funeral Services 306-978-5200.
