It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Brennan Cole Mak on December 24, 2020. Brennan was born on June 20, 2005 and is survived by his parents: Guy Mak, Nancy Kwok and the best big sister in the world, Madison. His grandparents: Mary Mak, Paul and May Kwok, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brennan loved playing video games. Splatoon was his favourite, and he looked forward to every Splatfest. He was a YouTuber - his passion was watching and creating rap battles, making videos, vlogs then posting them to his YouTube channel. Brennan enjoyed going for bike rides, fishing, playing with his younger cousins and spending time with his family. Brennan loved family holidays and some of his favourite trips were to Disneyland, Disneyworld, Hawaii, Australia and a cruise to the Bahamas just to name a few. He had a deep love for his family and brought smiles and laughter to all those that knew him.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses, therapies and all the support staff on PCICU and 4C3 at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. A special thank you to: Dr Y. Coe and Dr. L. McGonigle for the amazing care they provided Brennan over the years, which allowed us more time to spend with him. Thank you to staff and volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House Northern Alberta – a special thank you to Joan Hayes, who was part of our Edmonton family – the RMH is truly a home away from home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation or Ronald McDonald House, Northern Alberta. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Livestreaming will be available through the link www.faithproductions.ca/livestream .
