Brian William James McKay

April 14,1955 – July 2, 2025

Brian passed away peacefully on July 2nd after a long battle with cancer. Dad passed away with his wife Gloria, daughter Jana and granddaughter Ali by his side at the Hospice at Glengarda. Dad worked at CNR as a signal maintainer for 40 years and retired in Biggar. In 2013 mom and dad moved back to Saskatoon. Dad’s pride and joy was his granddaughter Ali, they shared a special bond. Dad made friendships that lasted 50 plus years. He had a large extended family and made friends everywhere he went. He loved going to his happy place every summer which was his family cabin at Aquadeo. We would like to send a special thank you to Rick and Terry Hopper and the wonderful staff at the Hospice at Glengarda. Dad is survived by his wife of 50 years Gloria, Daughter Jana, and Granddaughter Ali, beloved dog Cooper, Cousin Lois (Maurice) Roberge, The family we adopted many years ago Deb, Jerry, Shea and Rowan Guest, and a very large extended family. He is preceded by his Mom (Jean), Dad (Dale) and Brother (Dave), Aunt and Uncle (Afra and Mac) and Cousin Allan. He will be so missed by everyone. In Brian’s wishes please make donations to the Hospice at Glengarda. Dad’s service will be held on Thursday July 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Mourning Glory – Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel.
