Bryan Merle JOHNSON May 7th, 1952 - April 21st, 2016 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Bryan; loving husband, devoted father, faithful son and brother. Bryan was born and raised in Saskatoon. He attended Thorton Elementary School and completed high school at Saskatoon Technical Collegiate. Bryan was a camera man at CBC for 32 years, he retired in 2005. Bryan loved sports and played slow pitch into his 50's. Holidays were family trips; camping in early years, driving to the coast, visits to family in Alberta and B.C., hot holidays in the winter. Travels to Cuba peaked his curiosity about its history and he became an avid reader on the subject. After a trip to London England - he read countless books on the monarchy, W.Churchill and British history. Bryan loved his yard and had a talent for all things growing - trees, flowers, lawn and garden. We all enjoyed the bounty of his harvest. He appreciated good food and a cold drink but his greatest pleasure was his family. We always knew we were the centre of his life. He guided his children to be bright, independent thinkers that understood family is first. Bryan will be forever missed by his wife Joan, children Jennifer (Andrew), Matthew and Mitchell. He leaves behind his parents Anne, Clarence (Jerry), siblings Ed and Judy (Murray) and a large extended family. A private celebration of Bryan's life will take place with family. He is no longer in our daily lives, but his spirit and our memories will live on in our hearts.
