

Byron passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital with his children and family by his side. Byron leaves to mourn, carry his teachings and memories are his 8 children, Caitlin (Kay) Tatiana, Byron Jr, Maurice, Marlise, Bryna, Samuel and Bryson. His Grandson Oaklen, his siblings Myrna and Randolph and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In Byron's earlier life he grew up in the Whitecap Dakota Nation and Red Pheasant, he attended St Michael's Residential School and Nutana Collegiate where he discovered his love for sports! Soccer and hockey to be more specific. After high school he went on and did numerous odd jobs in construction before becoming a journeyman carpenter, he took immense pride in all of his work projects and loved to show his children. Byron spent most of his life in Saskatoon, and some years in Winnipeg.
Byron was a very out-going person, very selfless and always had something to give even if it was the shirt off his back. He made friends easily anywhere he went and could always bring a smile to your face.
Byron was predeceased by his parents Yvonne Royal and Gabriel Nicotine, Grandparents Pauline Royal, Maurice Royal, Brother Ronald Royal, Son Jeremy Royal, Nieces Farrah, Dana and Olivia Royal and Cousin Elizabeth Royal.
Wake service will be held at Charles Red Hawk Elementary School Gymnasium, Whitecap SK January 4th at 4pm
Funeral and celebration of life will commence January 5th at 1pm
