Chau Yung Tang

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Chau Yung Tang (July 23, 1926 - February 7, 2023). Yung was born and raised in Guangdong Province, China before fleeing to Hong Kong and eventually immigrating to Canada. She had a long and fulfilling career caring for families in Vancouver before retiring to Saskatoon to be closer to her family. She is survived by her daughter Tanya Mark (Tom), grandchildren Cynthia Mark-Ratzlaff (Jason Ratzlaff), Donna Mui, Gerald Mark, Ron Mark, and great-grandchildren Matthew Ratzlaff, Emma Ratzlaff, Jocelyn Mui, and Brendan Mui. She was predeceased by her brothers Ming Lee of Vancouver and John Lee of Burnaby, and will be missed by their families. The family would like to thank the Chan family of Vancouver and the Chiu family of Toronto for treating Yung like their very own grandmother. Yung spent the last months of her life residing happily under the care of the wonderful staff at Luther Intermediate Care Home. Yung was grateful for her long life and was ready to join her Father in heaven. A viewing will be held at Mourning Glory-Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel on February 13, 2023 at 1:00pm, followed by a private family graveside service.
