The family announces the passing of Robert Saint-Pierre (March 20, 1931 - November 28, 2023) and Christiane Saint-Pierre (née Gueyraud) (November 24, 1935 - July 12, 2025), both of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Robert and Christiane were born and raised in the area of Constantine, Algeria, where they met and married. Dad ran the family farm and Mom was a teacher. Political events disrupted their simple but happy life and in 1962 they fled to France to start anew with their young children. In 1967 they sought out a new frontier in Canada. They visited Expo 67, wandered West, and soon settled in Saskatoon. Mom continued her career as a teacher. Dad worked in construction and attended school to obtain journeyman certificates in plumbing and pipefitting.
Canada provided a peaceful existence which they appreciated, but their souls never left their place of birth. While they made many trips to visit relatives in France and explored beaches throughout the Caribbean and Hawaii, their favourite vacations were always to Cambrils, Spain. Family values and dedication were at the core of their beliefs.
They are survived by their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in Canada, as well as siblings and extended family in France. A Private Remembrance will be held at a later date.
