I met your parents when My wife and I were at U of Sask in 1965. We were invited for supper with your Uncle Bill and Aunt Bernice.
Conversation was sparkling and informative. We regret not making time to meet the rest of the family.

To he Silversides boys and the extended clan, we were deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your mother - our "Auntie Chrissy". I still recall growing up the excitement and anticipation of us Sommerfeld kids, Howard, Ken, Andy, and Lori, at the prospect of a visit to "The Silversides". For us it was a real highlight, and Chris played no small part in this. She was a wonderful and generous person with a super sense of humour. Our condolences.

It has been many years, but my memories of the Silversides are still very vivid. Longtime friends of the Sommerfelds, a lively bunch with Auntie Chrissy at the helm. Chris was a wonderful Godmother to me, always remembering birthdays and anniversaries with a card and a note. I still have and cherish a few of her knitted creations from earlier years.
