Christina Brooks

April 29, 1937 - August 11, 2018

The passing of Christina M. Brooks occurred at Saskatoon City Hospital on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the age of 81.  She is survived by her children:  Ian (Lorna) Corbett, Ian (Shonna) McKenzie; grandchildren:  Ron (Paula) Corbett, Schaun (Brandy) Corbett, Landon (Tori) Osiiwy, Shannah Osiiwy; great-grandchildren:  Cole Corbett, Torin Corbett and Cooper Corbett; two brothers:  Alex Thorson, Chester (Joanne) Thorson; two sisters:  Mary (Ernie) Litzenberger and Lucy Thorson (Sisters of Sion) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many, many friends.  Christina was predeceased by her husband Gerald Brooks, parents Erwin and Greta Thorson.  The family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nursing Staff from St. Paul’s, RUH and City Hospital for all the care provided over the past months.  We would also like to extend our appreciation to everyone for their generosity of cards, flowers, meals, books and most of all your visits we know that these all helped brightened her days.  She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she has touched.  Vigil of Prayer for Christina will be held at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018 with Rev. Fr. Graham Hill, CSsR celebrant.  Both services will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church (211 Ave. O South, Saskatoon).  Rite of Committal will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at a later date.
