Claire Loney (née Poirier) passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home. Claire will be lovingly remembered by her children Joanne and Steve; her granddaughters, Andrea (Steve) and Michelle (Toby); and her great-granddaughter, Sonia.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hugh; her daughter, Jennifer; her parents, May and Phillipe; and her siblings: Janot, Bernard, Marius, and Paul.
Claire found great joy in sewing, baking her famous shortbread cookies, and spending cherished time with her family. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Windsor Chapel – Lower Level (704 Windsor Street), Saskatoon. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan Inc. Claire’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate and dedicated staff at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home for their care and kindness during her final days.
