Cliff was born in Saskatoon, attended St. Goretti School and ED Feehan Collegiate. Cliff had a passion for farm life. He loved fishing, really enjoyed cooking and rarely turned down a game of Kaiser.
In his younger days, he enjoyed traveling everywhere from Australia to Mexico and Hawaii. His career in electrical sales took him from Fort McMurray to Thunder Bay for several years, and eventually back to Saskatchewan.
Cliff had maintained many long friendships over the years from his career and social settings like the Blue Diamond, and from his years of farming in the Prud’homme area.
Cliff was already looking forward to planting his garden again this spring. He had been so proud of it these past few years. How he could get so many tomatoes from a few plants, and the foot long cucumbers he could grow, and then share them with family, friends and neighbours.
He could hardly wait to get back on his new scooter (which he liked to call his convertible) and cruise around town. He’d already mapped out how to get to his sister’s and brother’s homes.
If you needed to know more about what was happening in the news, Cliff was always a great resource. Cliff also had a deep admiration for bald eagles, finding meaning in their strength and freedom. May you think of Cliff whenever you see one soaring overhead.
Cliff was taken away from us far too soon and will be deeply missed.
Cliff is predeceased by his parents, Nick and Anne, and his brother Wilfred. Cliff is survived by his brother Nestor (Bev) Mechor, sister Elaine (Ken) Neudorf, sister in law, Judy; his nieces Kimberley, Liana, Pamela (Derek), Kathleen (Jesse), Linsey (David), Louise, Susan and nephew Philip (Melanie); great nieces and nephews Cassandra, Sophia, Sebastian, Kayla, Sheri, Samantha, Ava, Emily, Drake, Kayden, Aysia and Baeya.
As per Cliff’s request, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
