It is with heavy hearts and much sorrow that our family announces the sudden passing of Clinton Strand Bowering, lovingly nicknamed "Dieter" to all his family and friends. Dieter was born on May 15, 1941 in Bracken, SK. He is survived by his wife Doreen (Kroeker) who meant everything to him and was truly the center of his world for 53 years. Together they raised four children Wendi (Bob) Pambrun, Kurtis (Val), Kevin (Cindy), Craig (Jade). Brothers Garth, Bruce (Les); sister Bonnie (Bruce) Schwanbeck; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Dieter was predeceased by his sister Heather Brittain; his parents Garnett and Lillian; and twin grandsons Garnett and Emmett. Dieter passed away peacefully March 19, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. He was a lifelong truck driver, a career that he truly loved. The only thing he loved more was his family and friends. If the measure of a person is based on kindness and generosity, then Dieter had no equal. Always the first to offer help to anyone in need and will be greatly missed by all. A Celebration of Dieter's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25th at the Travelodge Hotel, Galaxy A & B (106 Circle Dr West). Reception to follow. Arrangements in care of Lisa Ruf - MOURNING GLORY FUNERAL SERVICES (306-978-5200)
